Heavy Is the Crown

Heavy Is the Crown

A Poem by Bo Lanier

Heavy Is The Crown of those who are lonely Heavy Is the Crown of those lost in purgatory I know 'cuz the same damn crown weighs me down and keeps my heart in misery, keeps my soul from being free.

Wishing on stars above, dreaming of true love but time has a way of not being kind or giving up its secrets to life nearly enough! Why do I keep falling for players that only have one thing on their minds? Why can't I find a lover and a friend I ask myself again and again? Why at my age do I still believe in fairy tales come true and never end?

And tonight is just like any other night alone crying my eyes red thinking maybe I'd just be better off dead. It’s so hard to be strong when it’s just you always on your own oh lord having mercy on me 'cuz...

Heavy Is the Crown of those who are lonely Heavy Is the Crown of those who feel forsaken unjustly...Heavy Is the Crown, Heavy Is the Crown that weighs me down...
