To God

To God

A Poem by Bo Lanier

Oh God won’t you please dry these tears I cry and mend my broken heart. Won’t you please take away these thoughts I have of just wanting to die and shine me a little light in my life gone dark. I know your love does not keep us from trials but through them. And here I go again flying against the wind. Pushing my way through the storm I now find myself in. But oh Lord won’t you please have mercy on my soul and bring me back to myself. I pray to you now in the name of Christ Jesus, amen! Grant me the strength to be the man you want me to be. Please grant me peace of mind from needless guilt and worry. Set my spirit free from this world of everyday misery. Oh Lord I pray you will take heart when you look down on me. Bring me back to myself I pray to you now, amen!
