I Wish I Could Save You

I Wish I Could Save You

A Poem by Bo Lanier

Well it just breaks my heart

To see you in tears and a

Drinking yourself to death

Trying to erase the past and

Calm your fears...

Well I Wish I Could Save You

Put my arms around you

And take away your pain

But I can't save you if you,

If you don't want to change

Still it kills me to see you

All hung over from another

Night flying higher than a

Kite, wasted again and

Wasting your life away

Digging yourself into an

Early grave oh Lord

I Wish I Could Save You

Put my arms around you

And take away your pain

But I can't save you if you,

If you don't want to change

I wish I knew what turned

You this way but it's a

Mystery to me even tho

We’ve been friends for

Years and years I can't

Break this chain, I can't

Set you free but...

I Wish I Could Save You

Put my arms around you

And take away your pain

But I can't save you if you,

If you don't want to change

No I can't save you if you're

Not willing to change!
