From Sunrise to Sunset

From Sunrise to Sunset

A Poem by Bo Lanier

FROM SUNRISE TO SUNSET

You are in my heart and on

My mind, they say your plane

Went down somewhere over

Normandy but I'm not ready

To give up on you just yet

Even tho you've been gone

A long, long time I can still

Feel your arm around these

Shoulders of mine...

But seldom do I sleep anymore

I just walk the floor from door to

Window, window to door, hoping to

See you waving and running down

The big hill and into my arms and

Whisper in my ear I still love you

As much as I did before, before the

War...

Well maybe you are still alive and

Maybe that's why I just can't give up

On you yet and I haven't left this

House since you've been gone,

Every day and every night, I just dream

Of when we had the perfect life...

Maybe some sweet day you still may

Come back to me yet...

Until then I'll just keep watching and

Waiting, waiting and waiting...

FROM SUNRISE TO SUNSET!
