SuspendedA Poem by Michele
The words you say have no meaning,
They're hollow Like my insides, like my words, like my soul-- I do nothing but wallow. I wallow in the absence of you. You never truly left me, not really, But your presence brings nothing but pain. Even if you left I'd have the same feeling. It's like you died, I am all torn up inside. You try and save me in all the wrong ways. I am suspended here, in this cycle of my own self-hatred. There are moments when I cannot take this.
