A Poem by mothglitter
"

A poem about a lonely heart.

"
Left alone,
Where it’s cold and damp and the light never touches it,
It thumps.
It thumps for what it has lost,
And what has been done to it.

Ooh, great adition. Thank you!
Beautifully compact reflection on emotional isolation and quiet suffering. In just five lines, it conjures the image of a heart cast into shadow--physically and spiritually untouched yet still beating with memory and pain.
