Unforgiving

Forgiveness has to come from both sides or
we will never be complete.
I just know that this is something I repeat and repeat.
Forgiveness cannot be one-sided like it is
right now.
But my words repeat over and over with defeat.
On and on and on again somehow!
Forgiving is what we need, why can't you
believe?
Forgiveness is what the Lord believes in,
being said so, why can't you give in?
Unforgiving is all that you can be,
how come forgiving is all that I can be?
One forgiver and one unforgiving, the end I
tell you is near to be.
Just wait and see!

This is a beautiful poem Michelle. This reminds me of a piece that i wrote called "The power of forgiveness" Check it out sometime when you have a moment. The unforgiving heart can only grow sour on the vine. I too used to be an unforgiving person but over time i have seen how self distructuve an unforgiving heart can be. If I were to try and carry around the weight of all of the people who have hurt me in life , well......I am just not strong enough nor do i wish to try to be either. The energy that that takes is wasted energy that could be used toward something much more constructive. Thank you for sharing your powerful message with us all.

Hmm, that's a real interesting concept you've created. I am an "Unforgiving Person" and I couldn't help it for the way I am, you see, just like the old two matching word; "Unforgetable and Unforgivable" But, hey, that's just me...

Anyway, I really like how you wrote both forgiving and unforgiving then blend them together like that. That's really something I seriously need to think about...
