I thought you cared,
didn’t know you saw me as a friend.
I watched the way you laughed,
believed your love was hard to end

I was focus on the wrong thing
didn't know it wasn’t us.
He's been looking in my direction,
but I was blind, lost in my trust. 

Maybe we were meant to be friends,
after all, the gift that never ends.
I thought we were meant,
but now I see where my heart is sent
