This poem is about how humanity have many facing growing through life.

I am power
That guardian of enlightenment
Filling souls with absolution
Touching ohras

 

I am light
That shine of ideas
Forcing voices
Articulating beautiful opinions

 

I am stone
My strength is infinity
Holding time
Caressing the sky

 

I am passion
Creating secret glances
Transforming shyness
Into pure wishes

 

I am balance
Knowing how to be even
Like still water
Giving a calming center

 

I am chaos
Troubling thoughts
Contradicting everything
Fighting the reality

 

I am God
Ending mountains
Killing vegetation
Destroying bodies of water

 

I am spirit
Creating a belief
A support system of hope
An illusion of faith

 

I am
I am humanity

I love the "I am" poetry. It conveys honesty. So first, I give respect. You are strong but wise. You are even keeled - much that people yearn for. I give myself credit for being intuitive so this poem tells me that you conveyed what most wouldn't. Rock and write on.

Powerful stuff Rufus - nice work. I could see this going on and on - adding I am hate / I am love / I am parrasitical / I am dream-maker - and so and and so forth. I think this could have evolved into quite an epic piece if you wanted it to? But it works extremely well as it is! Power to your pen my friend! A powerful and worthy analogy of that which we call humanity....and what an immense topic to choose.....very brave! Good job.

Thank you, When I was writing this two ago it was much much longer then what it is now. I felt isolating specific phrase will each stanza a deeper and lasting many.
