A little cabin belonging to a family
Lies above Pine Lake.
A cabin of treasures and memories
Which took up to a lifetime to create.
A summertime cottage; a common phrase,
But to us it is so much more.
The fact that here we’ve spent our most cherished days
Showers over us every time we open the door.
The gravel road leading to this home
Has many other leading up to the cabin.
No matter which we each venture, wander or roam,
They all end in the same destination.
All the crossroads, crashed and narrow streets we face
Will forever and always lead
To a cabin, a home, an esteemed place,
Just exactly what we all need.
When we arrive, the gates reading “Lake and Glade”
Will always be open to us all.
To a cabin of reminiscences that will never fade,
No matter how quick, short or small.
Summer turns to fall, and the seasons change,
And as they change so do we.
But no matter what we go through, our love will remain
For the cabin, where we should be.
As long as we’re home with each other,
We know we can never go wrong.
The love never weakens or falters,
For the cabin, each other, where we belong.
