I lost my being

 

 

My being is no longer whole

since you came my way

taking and damaging the living parts

and took my breath away

 

the arms I used to hold you

are now weak not strong

you took my will to live

the torture I feel is wrong

 

my kisses are no longer moist

my mind is cold and dry

you left my heart bleeding

I can produce no tears to cry

 

how could I have been so gullible

to love you with body and soul

I gave you all I had to give

my being is no longer whole
