days past now the future is here

DAYS GONE BY

 How I long for days gone by

When you were here with me

Everything seemed brighter then

My spirit felt so free

 We shared our love so easily

We laughed and “played” together

Everything was comfortable

Even the difference in the weather

 Your kisses took me places

I never knew before

Tenderness and compassion

Left me hungering for more

 Your love and how you shared it

Filled my heart with deep desire

A life commitment we have made

And it shall not expire

 Now I wait here patiently

Your return is coming soon

Each night I feel you closer

Looking at “our” crescent moon

 Now we are connected

Forever we are one

Days gone by are here once more

The future has begun
