Melancholy, Hejira
I’d run back to you, my love
Hopping from boat to boat
On the Rideau Canal
If I felt confident you’d open the door

This poem makes me want a sequel, nadia.
I want the speaker to knock on that door...just to see if the subject would open the door.
A closed door always leaves those questions...what or who is behind it, and will the door be opened to find out.
