Dead

Dead

A Poem by Nagini Potter

Attraction, force, power, feel, like, love

So many emotions upon seeing your face

Your eyes, your hair, your lips

The angle of your jaw, the sparkle of your smile

The joy of your laugh, the sadness of your frown

The secret desire I’ll never tell

You made your choice

The choice that destroys

You chose her

You broke me, hurt me, killed me

But I don’t hate you, I never will

I know a split will come with my chance.

‘Till then, I’ll drown in sorrow and depression.

Life spiraling downward, just water down a drain.

Slipping through my fingers, like small grains of sand.

Until your moment of freedom, my lips are sealed.

I will never tell, the horrible truth is locked away

Until you want it, until you accept it

The truth will never witness sunlight

My affections hidden deep within my soul

Deep In the heart you shattered

Until the day you fix me, my secret is safe

Until the day you love me, my heart stays broken

Until the day you want me, I remain dead
