Delirious Symphony

A poem I wrote in AP English

Darkness encloses the mind of the innocent,

Wrapping itself around the delicate tendrils of thought,

Transforming, absorbing youthful passions.

The Darkness prods her mind in its direction,

Twisting her, destroying her,

Weaving cruel visions of liquid life flowing in rivers,

Bathing her in the beauty of decaying flesh.

Darkness creates a symphony of lies,

Creating in her a blind lust for destruction,

The vision of the bloody knife lives for eternity in her delirious symphony.
