When I Glance To The Side

Just my feelings on separation.

When I glance to the side,

When I see that empty space,

All the tears for you I cried,

Threaten to slide down my face.

 

In silence suffers my heart, my mind,

For none close wish to hear,

The pain our hearts feel in kind,

Or the solitude I fear.

 

The distance presses from all sides,

Allowing no room for others dear.

To my logical mind, my heart collides,

Though to friends, my struggle is unclear.

 

So your absence alone I endure,

My grasps for assistance denied,

While my cold heart can find no cure,

For this sorrow rooted deep in my mind.
