Regrets

My emotions put into writing

There are things left unspoken,

Time voids that should be filled,

One more smile that should have been shared;

One more embrace before the heart chilled.

There is something about this goodbye

That is unlike any other--

This is the realization that the one that you liked, that the one you had feelings for, the one that you envisioned having a future together, is no longer part of your life, your dreams or your future.
