Last MileA Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader
Last Mile I leave this life Walk my last mile Earth is behind me Tunnel of light I see I'm not walking alone Light embraces me In the blink of an eye I'm standing at the Throne God smiles ... and He opens the book My Heavenly Father Looks inside Reading my life's worth I listen as He speaks ... but I don't hear of my sins Only a salvation prayer Spoken through tears I peeked over God's shoulder My sins aren't there Wicked deeds Things done in my life Reiterated More times than not Human was I ... but No excuse My eyes are now open Jesus died for me ... and My sins forgotten Forgiven I'm Free Eternal Life for me © 2008 Nancy Lee ShraderReviews
