IchabodA Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader
Ichabod Ichabod, hear my plea Stay home this night On All Hollows Eve The horseman rides tonight Whispers in the hollow Night falls under the full moon Headless horseman gallops On this Halloween night On All Hallows Eve This dark force begins to ride Wreaking havoc everywhere On those who cross his path Venture out tonight, if you dare Your head will become his prize To be tucked under his arm On the next All Hallows Eve Ichabod, did you not hear Now your head has been stolen And your body lies motionless Horseman’s screeches echo this night
