Unspoken Word

Unspoken Word

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Unspoken Word

Find solace in an unspoken word
In a look, a touch and a smile
Comfort of a moment in life
To carry until the last mile

Chasm of the deepest heart
Arriving on distant shores
Deep in the abyss of afterglow
As deep as the ocean floors

Abhorrence of time lost
A single moment gone
Loathing missed moments of love
In the early morning dawn

Sorrow in weeping flowers’ song
Sung on breezes everywhere
Mourning the night’s dying gift
Emotions so hard to bear

Silence of a lonely night
Spent in regret
Hush of love’s sweet song
A night you long to forget

Tear of loneliness
Trickling on cheeks so fair
Love story never told
Faithful still, no illicit affair
Heart animations
Colorful Valentines divider bar
