Stampede across the frozen tundra

Running wild and free

In the land of midnight sun

Wild Stallions I do see

Are they a mirage in the mind?

Like in a desert filled with sand

So how is it I see

Hallucinations on command

I hear the deafening thunder

As each hoof pounds the ground

Drowning out my heartbeat

With each thundering sound

Is it just an illusion

Deep within my brain

Maybe it’s not really snow

And only falling rain

A figment of my imagination

Trapped in this frozen realm

A fantasy of my own making

When my delusions take the helm

Stampede
