Christmas Holiday

Christmas Holiday

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Christmas Holiday

Christmas

Children’s Holiday

Santa Claus flies his sleigh tonight

Children sleep

Sugar plums dance in their heads

Wish list

Yuletide

Roll out the barrel

Roast chestnuts on the fire tonight

As snow falls

Ice skating sleigh riding such fun

Wonderland of ice and snow

Bells chime

Santa

Came down the chimney

He opened his sack full of toys

Good children

Ate cookies and drank all his milk

Filled stockings with candy too

Ho Ho

Reindeer

Children hear the bells

They see reindeer prints in the snow

Amazing

On the snow is a bright red light

It is a magical sight

Rudolph

Visually, rhythmically, and technically very well done. I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoys Christmas (even months in advance). Nice poem, keep up the good work.
