Christmas Morning

It’s now Christmas morning

Silent snow blankets the ground

Christmas Eve has come and gone

Sugarplums have dance around

Ice has melted in the stream

Sun peeks through the trees

Dawn is on the rise

We hear reindeer sneeze

On this lazy Christmas Day

Water flows rippling by

Snowman stands his guard

Christmas tree reaches to the sky

Santa’s ride is over

Workshop slowed to a silent hush

Elves are resting in their beds

Dreaming of next year’s rush

Mamma’s in the kitchen

Cooking breakfast for the clan

Santa’s in his easy chair

Resting best he can

Reindeer bells ring no more

Angel guards his rest

Now asleep he snores

Santa is so blessed

Your poem is so comforting and peaceful and a real delight to read. I can just picture the events and they are right on target. Your pictures are lovely and words most fitting--giving that wonderful feeling of Christmas morning!
