Wind in the WillowsA Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader
Wind in the Willows Winds in the willows whispering low Of sadness in the wind On and on it goes Rustling through time Feeling the pain Drooping gently in nature’s reframe Do you hear it whispering low? Wind in the willows in gentle breeze Sorrowful moments in the air Holding onto sadness Feeling life’s bitter sting Weaving back and forth to and fro Rustling gently through whistling air Do you hear it weeping in the breeze? Wind in the willows soulful song Weeping its soft melody Through its rustling leaves You can hear its tears as they fall Crying in the moment Over life’s mysteries Do you hear its weeping song? © 2009 Nancy Lee ShraderReviews
