Roses Are Red

Roses Are Red

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader
"

A little humor and fun write to cheer up a sick friend

"

Roses Are Red

Roses are red

Leaves always turn

Sugar is fattening

Calories to burn

Roses are red

Violets are blue

Halloween is here

Jump out and say Boo

Roses are red

The horse knows the way

To grandma's house

Turkey today

Roses are red

Yellow is the moon

Christmas always comes

Way too soon

Roses are red

Old year is gone

Too much celebration

I say with a yawn

Roses are red

Send me a bouquet

Flowers in a box

On Valentine's Day

Roses are red

Easter grass is green

I'm the little pink bunny

The never ending machine

Roses are red

Firecrackers pop

I bet you wish

This poem would stop

Roses are red

Full circle the year

Halloweens back

Trick or Treat we cheer

Roses are red

Violet are purple

I like you

More than maple suryple

Roses are red

Grass is green

Won't you be?

My writing machine

Roses are red

And some are pink

I think I'm about

To run out of ink

Roses are red

Bessie is a cow

My poem is done

That's all for now
