Nothing to Fear

Nothing to Fear

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Nothing to Fear

Lighting may flash and thunder crack

But nothing on this earth will I fear

I’m standing in the shadow of life anew

Because close to Jesus, I drew near

I’ve nothing to fear in this life

God holds me in the palm of his hand

One day soon He will call my name

We’ll walk into the promise land

Others might feel afraid to move

While watching their backs

Realizing much too late

Real fear is the guillotine’s ax

When life on earth become turmoil

I won’t be here you see

Raptured into the heavenly realm

I’ll cross the crystal sea

So let the winds of strife blow hard

Because I know there’s nothing to fear

This life is just a fleeting moment

Listen everyone and hear

I am saved by God’s Amazing Grace

His Son paid my price of sin

He stretched His arms upon the Cross

Died here on earth, so I would win

A place in God’s Eternal Home

Faraway past the sky

All my tears are wiped away

In the Twinkling of God’s Eye
