Waging Peace Prayer

Lord, I pray for peace

For all children everywhere

Their innocents lost

 

Children waging peace

In all countries of the world

Hands hold their peace signs

 

 

Children live in fear

In all countries of the world

Lord please calm their fears

 

 

Hear the children cry

Only peace will dry their tears

Oh Lord hear their cries

 

 

In these war torn lands

Bring healing to their young minds

Broken bodies too

 

Give them clean water

Please silence their hunger pain

Bring them restful sleep

 

 

Sweep the hearts of man

End the hatred for all time

Put love in their hearts

 

 

Destroy the weapons

Beat guns into pruning hooks

And a child shall lead
