Cat HeadsA Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader
Cat Heads Cat heads all around Imagine such a sight Covered in thick liquid Oozing everywhere In the early morning dawn Run and get your cat head Before they are all gone It’s not what you’re expecting Cat heads can be lots of fun And I can’t wait to have my own My mouth waters at the thought And makes me shudder with delight Oooey gooey cat heads On the menu tonight Made with flower milk and shorting Kneaded with a gentle hand Cut in large round circles Baked in a preheated oven Piping hot and smelling great Carried to the table And plopped down on my plate Sizzling on my dinner plate I can’t wait to see it Smothered with hot gravy Seasoned to perfection It’s a delicious sight Cat heads smothered with gravy I can’t wait to take a bite Yum! Yum! Yum! Bet I fooled you Ha ha LOL
