Haiku Puts A Smile On My Face

Haiku Puts A Smile On My Face

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Haiku Puts Smiles on My Face

Smiles upon my face

Caused by wonders in my life

My sweet grandchildren

Justin is now grown

He is our miracle child

He survived cancer

Michael bats the ball

Hits the homerun of his life

Survived mosquito

Lyndsey, our princess

Paints toenails strawberry pink

Bats her eye winkers

Adorable three

Fills my life with giggles too

All down through the years

Happy grandmother

Smiles widen upon my face

Grins from ear to ear

There were always smiles

Smiles began with their mother

I remember well

Her brothers brought smiles

So many it’s hard to count

How lucky I am
