Haiku My Secret Fantasy

Secret fantasy

I would like to turn back time

To years long ago

 

 

Many things I’d change

I would drive doctors crazy

Find cancer in time

 

 

My child would not die

He would now be thirty-five

Married with children

 

 

Move my life forward

Another moment in time

Grandson’s eye is saved

 

 

Move forward once more

In the year two thousand three

Before cancer grew

 

 

I would insist on

Soul mate, get a PSA

In time his life spared

 

 

In my wildest dreams

There’s no cancer invading

All’s right with my world

 

 

My life would be changed

If only time moved backwards

And tears never formed

 

 

 

Only in my dreams

Secret fantasies come true

I am happy there

 

 

Please come blessed sleep

Fill my dreams with heart’s desire

My loved ones are spared
