Haiku Inspriation Found Here

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Haiku Inspiration Found Here

Inspiration found

Here on the Writers’ Café

Many hearts displayed

Inspired by the youth

They throw caution to the wind

And post their work here

These young hearts and minds

Do not fear criticism

Want to be graded

They seek our advice

With bright eyes and open minds

Our experience

They're like wild flowers

Blossom in the spring of life

But need us to grow

Flowers need water

The young need self confidence

From the elders here

So writers take time

Guide these youngsters on their way

To become famous

Perfect form on the ku's and a wonderful message that we 'elders' should heed. I have just left a poetry site because of people's elitist attitudes toward those trying to develop their work- I wish I'd had this to throw at them! Nice one, spence
