Haiku Lighthouse of HopeA Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader
Haiku Lighthouse of Hope My love has left me He has gone to peaceful rest His pain is no more This pain in my heart Is relieved by memories Flashes when needed Hope for tomorrow As I relive yesterday Moment of courage Optimistic outlook here Smiling though I’m grief stricken Little faces see Too much to live for My children and grandchildren See hope in their eyes I will carry on My love would want this for me I will make him proud Live for the future Determination is mine With strength from the Lord There is more than this Life is just a tick in time Reunion will come My faith is my hope My Savior will come for me Together at last He will not wait long In the twinkling of an eye I will see him smile Without faith grief lives Sorrow overcomes the soul And strong hearts soon fail My faith I’ll embrace As faith wipes away the pain Fills my heart with hope I’ll stand on the rock Until Jesus calls my name My faith will see me through My Lighthouse of hope Shines from the heavens above See His outstretched hands © 2009 Nancy Lee ShraderReviews
