Broken

Broken

A Poem by Nancy Martin
"

A freestyle verse of dark emotions

"
The deep emptiness surrounds me

The hollowness of desolation inherits my soul

The vast void that was my heart

Is now a vacant hole

The scorned, and detested life I lived

Is again unwelcomed, and undesirable

To he who unliked, and contradicted, she fell out of favor

Her misapplied love, squandered, dissipated, and forsaken

His corrupted misuse, had defiled, and tainted the love they shared

The plague of despair brought about the melancholy

downheartedness, loss of confidence, and hopelessness

She now feels forsaken, abandoned, and alone

The darkness consumes her, and she is withdrawn, and secluded

Dark and poignant, with deep emotion. Just the way that I like them! Nice work.
