A Gift

For the man my heart has yet to know

I would strip down bare

To let him see what lies below

Piece by piece I could peel back a layer

Till he could see beyond my ragged bones

He would gaze upon me with great care

Honored by what he was shown

Very good writing! I enjoyed this poem which started out playful like a song, but becomes much deeper, wiser, and mature...The poem itself has layers! Keep up the good work!
