what's faith got to do with it?????????

me, searching for answers.

it's hard not to be depressed these days,

with daily tests we all HAVE to face.

 

it's not easy to be happy and smiling,

with pointless war and the innocent DYING.

 

life seems aimless and unrelentless,

drugs and alcohol can NUMB those senses.

 

there is no end in sight and no relief,

but not for those who have their BELIEFS.

 

FAITH seems to give believers a strenth,

a concept i have been studying at LENGTH.

 

my mother-in-law cries with absolute joy,

when she speaks of her GOD and His Boy.

 

maybe one day i WILL be as confidant as her,

NEVER to be alone and safe from that lucifer.

I like this poem; it is well written. Not sure if you're still looking for answers, seeing how this was posted almost 4 years ago, but I am a very religious person, yet faith specifically has always been a struggle for me. I just want to say that i personally have found the light at the end of the tunnel. If you care to hear, I'd be happy to share.
