Hope

hope
is all i have
anymore
hope
that he'll come back
and tell me
it was all
just a joke
hope that he
will hold me
and never let go
but even now
hope is abandoning me
as i stare out
the frosted window
into an empty yard
void of anyone
attempting to make amends
hope
is all i have left anymore
hope
that one day
this pain
will all go away.
