I wish
I had something
To write

But I'm stuck
Inside my own head
Too complicated

Swimming with words
But none of them sound right
They just don't work together

I wish I had something to say
With depth
That meant something

Something more than those
I love you poems
And the occasional predictable book

I wish I could write something
Something that would touch people
Move them even

Just a few stanzas
A few chapters
A few words

That would make the difference
To someone out there
Other than me
