I cant Shield You

i cant protect you
from every little thing
shield you
from all the pain
that the world
might cause
i cant make it all just
go away
cant promise that
people wont be mean
and injuries wont happen
and belive me
i want to
if i could
i would take away all the pain
endure it a thousand times over
just to save you
from the slightest amount
but i cant
you get hurt
and all i can do is watch

This was a really great poem. We wish we could save the ones we love but sometimes we just can't protect them. It hurts but in the end we can be there to make it all better. Great job on this!
