Freedom To

Freedom To

A Story by neurostar burns

It has always been a delightful assay in philosophy and behaviorism to discuss "freedom to" and "freedom from".

Freedom to- is working with unobstructed situations. Perhaps unlimited creativeness may be included.

In cases of behaviorism, freedom to- implies untethered will, thought, movement

Freedom from- implies freedom from constraints. Constraints usually constrain opportunities that promote-freedom to

It was held  by many that, at least initially, the spirits  have an untethered-freedom to

["You can't end sentences with a preposition!"]

[Tell that to the educated and knowledgeable philosophers and poets.]

It is definitely intriguing - this idea of freedom, whether we are free to or free from. I see it as a beautiful paradox where freedom is perhaps both, where a freedom of reacting against is also a freedom of being. Whatever it is or is not, you've got a good idea with this.
