Trail to nothing

In physical science there is a strong tendency for reliance on the presence of matter to describe the cosmos' presence.

It now doggedly includes endeavors to detect minute particles beyond the quadrillionths to be depictions of the persistence of material composition for the cosmos.

This brings the question of whether infinite regress is a viable and rational depiction toward final resolution of the universe.

Composition must indeed be composed of composites.

It may be that searching for the smallest common denominator as in matter will not satisfy such a quest.

A final finding may not lie in the field of regressive material composition afterall.

Minute particles are combined due to charges, if they can combine, some don't.

 If they cannot combine then nothing can be formed. No substrate. This becomes so because there is an inability to combine and form matter. Matching up ceases to occur.

Eventually,  the only elemental conducive to forming anything material would be the charges, and those will not be found pervasive.

The result will be vacuity. No forming, Not a scintilla.  Nothing material will be evident.

The universe will be found delimited.

[But, the universe is physically held to already be delimited by whatever is outside its field of development i.e. boundary, even though unknown and unsubstantiated.]

Have cosmologists dropped the ball?
