I spent an eternity looking for you

travelled the galaxy to find you

I looked for you, and you knew

But, you faded away

and I was left midway

You faded away

and my world turned grey

Just a simple thought; I really wanted to pen something down with a rhyming scheme

It is the feeling that takes me beyond. Loss of something precious is such a darkening experience. I could feel it in your lines. The last line of your first stanza "I looked for you, and you knew" and the first line of your last stanza "But, you faded away" said it all.

This has a lot of promise and could easily be expounded upon to create a really great poem. I feel like it's a pebble skimming the surface, but there's a lot of depth beneath. I would explore those feelings underneath and discover that hidden treasure! It's like a gold coin waiting to be polished.
