Dead inside

Dead inside

A Poem by Nick Fatum

.. dead  inside of suicide

destiny's from outside

longing eyes like cold silver

flame stars in a timeless river...

Author's Note

Nick Fatum
fatalism (internal and external) "Dead inside of suicide": not a physical act, but a state of despair. «Destiny's from outside»: fate is an external, ruthless force, a human being is an object that destiny is pressing down on, unable to resist it. the coldness of contemplation ("Longing eyes like cold silver") the image of eyes like cold silver speaks of the detachment of those who look at the world with longing (longing), the gaze is devoid of warmth, silver is a cold and mirrored metal; the character only reflects a reality in which he has no place, eternity against the moment ("Flame stars in a timeless river") — "flaming stars in a timeless river" is a metaphor for space, the river of time: "timeless" (timeless), infinite, stars: sparks of creativity that burn brightly, but float in the stream of oblivion, where a person is just a flash (star), between inner emptiness and outer fate.

Hi! In addition to the wonderful minimalistically figurative text about the realization of the hopeless fatality of the time of being flowing like a river, I really liked the associative coincidence with the image below, sad and fatalistic - respect to the author!

I think there is much hope in this Brevity poem...Each of has a destiny, different from each other...longing to live life as preferred....no suicide here...only what joy life brings to each of us.....

impressive abstraction. Obviously, with such work there is no singular point of view, but for what it's worth i read the poem as a celebration of life.

Here, it's just after 6 AM - so you know the level of my intent to BE, hear, and to read and think on your thoughts.
...And my own.

"...Is It Telling..." (when one speaks of THEIR perceptions of another's thoughts?)

Each line,
framed...
introspection
of moments - pausing -
behind my eyes,
as coffee's steam
...chills...
while expanding to transparency.

Do YOU understand
the whys
I think I - do?

Chris

I also paused with your posted art. Wished I had the money - not to own - but to add such glimpses back into my existence. I guess this says it all toward my perceptions of of your efforts.

Was a good morning, thank you.

A deep philosophy of doom, something reminded me
of a medieval Nordic saga, just cool.

It's detached, cold, and at the same time very tragic, beautifully rhythmic, and besides, the text completely matches the wonderful image - thank you for this post!
