Pain

This is not the best... But I had to get these feeling out on paper.

You cause me pain before,
By being with her.
I was stupid and fell for you,
Where you were in a relationship.
But you led me on,
You didn't need to be so sweet.
You were so kind.
I couldn't help but love you.
But you had her.

 

Then she was gone,
And you were as sweet as before.
Yet still the pain came back.
We just flirted, never anymore.
You got my hopes up,
Then tore them down.

 

Now you insist on ignoring me.
And treating me like s**t.
And once again the pain is back.
This hurts more than an awkward friendship.
But the damage is done,
And I'm not sure we can go back

 

You don't have to be an a*s though.
It is entierly possible that we can just forget this happened.
And I'm willing to try,
But it's you who will have to change.
You have to forget the past.
Forget all the bad things between us.

 

This is the only way we will work.
This is the only way we will be friends.
