The curse

I pity the society where girls are still bounded in the shackles of darkness.In this poem i have keyed in my feelings about how i feel when i am reminded again and again that i am a girl.

She is intelligent but she is a girl,

                                               He is fool but he is a boy,
She is diligent but she is a girl,
                                               He is prodigal but he is a boy,
She is smart but she is a girl,
                                               He is imbecile but he is a boy,
All her proficiencies would not have been snuffed out if she could have got the previlege of being a BOY-"The Honour Of Honours"
All his mistakes would not have been neglected if he had the misfortune of being a GIRL-"The Curse of Curses"

As a girl I too was compelled to do many a things that were against my will...i opposed and did what i wanted..

i wrote this when i was not allowed to go on our educational tour and my brother was allowed to go on his college's excursion!
