I ask myself honestly why do I feel this way…

I’m so lost for words from knowing what you said today…

Maybe because of some words that you just could never say to me…

Yet those words I longed for… were said to others as far as I can see…

You know, a boy has gotta hear those words from time to time…

To know that he is “needed” and will not be left behind…

 To know he will be “missed” when his lonely days seem blue…

 And to know that he feels “loved” from his one and only…

if you have someone special in your life... let them know every now & then what they mean to you... because sometimes they need to hear you say those "words" even though they might already know it... so as this being the first poem i write of the new year... i hope this poem inspires anyone reading this to tell that someone special in your life just exactly what they mean to you...

I loved this and the message behind it, and yes, we all need to hear those certain words from someone. To remind us that they are there for a reason and hopefully there until the end. Hoping to see us through our best and worst times...it hurts to feel forgotten, even by the ones we love.

yeah.... it can feel like you are taken for granted ...when you don't hear those sweet words not as much anymore... and even worse... not at all

Yeah, it sucks when you feel you aren't doing enough or pushing the person away because you do too much. If you switch up your emotions, you always feel you're doing something wrong, then switch back to what you used to do and it's still wrong. It's like a lose-lose situation, so there's no point in even trying sometimes. It makes you feel worthless and that you can't do anything right.

I really liked this, so honest from the heart.. It's like an ode to a girl you can't stop thinking about, day and night she rushes through your mind. I love how it ended.."from his one and only.. You :-(" it made me feel a certain amount of ache for all a person wants in a relationship is that reminder every now and then that their love is appreciated and reciprocated. You did it so well in this short brilliant piece. Stacked with emotion and sparks "You" my friend are so talented .
