The Examination

"Penelope!"

A voice woke me up. I opened my eyes to see that it was Olivia with a big smile on her oval face. Olivia looked different, not wearing her uniform but a baby doll top which makes her creamy skin looks smooth and a pair of jeans and with her brunette hair let loose.

"Olivia! Have you seen your family?"

"Yes! And it was great! My mom sells vegetables now and my brother has been helping her. They got a place in the market and sell those vegetables in there! I helped them yesterday, and it was lovely! I felt again the joy in the town. They smiling faces, the laughter, the smell of the foods, the playing children, everything! I missed it so much! I wished you were there with me Penelope! It was awesome!"

"I'm glad to see that your happy seeing your family again, Olivia. I wish I could go to the town too, to see the market, to smell the foods and to hear people's laughter." Thinking about this thing actually made me sad, because I know that I can never see it, except if there's a miracle happened of course.

"Oh! I'm sorry Penelope" she said, seeing the sadness in me.

"It's okay!" I said with a smile to change my mood.

But I still wish I could see it too

Olivia then, told me the details of her story with her family, it was a happy story, like the one on my story books, a happy family in a simple life. I can't stop thinking about my parents, about me, and about how we never really a family. But I can't let this sadness bring me down, after Olivia finished her story, I changed and prepared to do again my job, I'm wearing now a simple dress, I ask my maids for it, since I will be doing a lot of walking today.

I went to Ronald. He's in an office, which was temporally his.

"How's everything going, Ronald?" I asked him. He was writing something in a paper on his desk.

"It is going fine your majesty, but I'm afraid we have to examine everything, see if everything is fine. We will have to start with the rooms and servants, the stocks of foods, the animals, and of course the walls." Ronald stated.

Ronald and I together with Olivia by my side started the checking. We went first to the servants' room every room has at least three people sleeping in it, except for bigger room that has at least five. We checked every room to see if all is being used or if someone is using a room for himself. I'm happy to see that every servant has been loyal to use the only room assigned to them.

Then we went to the castle's kitchen. I think I opened my mouth a little bit, seeing for the first time where the delicious foods are coming from. It was so big! I never knew how much big our kitchen is and how many cook we have and the foods! There's a lot! Fruits, vegetables, meats, everything! Wow! Ronald then begins his inspection while I and Olivia began to explore the place. It was amazing. Then we proceeded to the barns, where every animal was taken care of. When Ronald starts to examine the place and the animals, I immediately run to where my Gummy is. I saw her, she was just standing there on her stall, until I ran into her and hugs her tightly, and she was delighted to see me. And then I introduced her to Olivia and just hugged her again, I just hugged her tight not noticing the time moving fast, it seems like seconds but Ronald's already finished. And then we went to see the walls. Our castle was surrounded by big walls, so no one can easily come or leave without being notice. We checked the walls until I saw one of my favorite places in the castle. The Queen's Garden...
