Cherry BlossomsA Poem by Nisha M.When I wrote this, I couldn’t think of anything else but cherry blossoms which explains the title. It is about parting with someone who is about to leave and you are waiting for their return.Right under the cherry blossoms we stood As the petals of everlasting bliss caress our skin The wind blows but I am holding onto us, please don’t let go Wishing this could last forever, such is my woe But you and I, were designed So perfectly, seamlessly, Not only to meet, but to meet our ends This can’t be the end, oh love Don’t you walk alone, don’t you walk far I cannot be with myself, take me with you as you are Leave everything behind but your heart For the last time, embrace me with your warmth It is alright, we’ll soon find our haven The seasons change, it’ll be winter again But to me, even time is frozen In the cold, oh, in this cold, I will run to you, just call my name Fate will not bring us anywhere But you could, only you could Looking out the windows, I trembled I am being imprisoned by the agony of your absence When we meet under the blossoms again, Keep me safe, obliterate my sorrows With you, I will bear no more pain
