MerakiA Poem by Nisha M.A word modern Greeks often use to describe doing something with soul, creativity, or love — when you put “something of yourself” into whatever you're doing. Dedicated to songwriters and composers.
Oh, you're so remarkably creative If no one's told you, I'd say you're pretty attractive How you simply glow with passion, That's enough to make me consider you a pretty big distraction
I don't want to sound shallow But you really ought to know I'm not usually the kind to get attracted But you are of a different kind, Because talking about your hopes and dreams
You say you're afraid of the world That's why you find comfort in music But if music is the key to survival I guess we've both found a reason to live
Oh, you're so remarkably talented You shouldn't be too hard on yourself What is important is that you've started And that is enough because you have inspired thousands.
Oh, you're so remarkably creative If no one's told you, I'd say you're pretty attractive. © 2018 Nisha M.Author's Note
