At Your Worst

This is a lyric poetry that I wrote a long time ago. Have you ever tried so hard to tell someone that they're doing great in life and that you're there for them even if they don't see you?

Take my hand,
If I’m with you at your worst,
Take my word,
I won’t leave you at your worst

How much must you have suffered alone
Concealed behind that smile, not expecting me to realise
That your shine is gone,
That your silence is loud and full of cries

If you should drown in your tears,
then let us both be submerged
If you should think that life is but a jinx
then let us both be cursed

Locked yourself in the prison you made
Thinking of ways so you don’t get caught
Coming up with excuses that you’re happy
When I clearly know that you’re not

Is it too much to say that
I’ll always put you first
Is it too much too say that
I won’t leave you at your worst
You might not notice,
But I’m listening.
You might not see it,
But I’m here beside you
trying

I enjoyed writing this because I was supposed to come up with a melody to fit these lyrics - But nothing has popped in my mind so I figured that I'll just share them here first :)
