Ever been reminded about something?

 

Tonight, I’m thinking about you

Even though I really didn’t want to

I was reminded about flowers

And how I hinted about them to you

 

I scrolled through the old texts

They brought back buried memories

My heart still aches a little

From the impact the past carries

 

It happened far too quickly

And it ended far too abruptly

But there must be a reason for this

For you’re the one I no longer miss

 

Flashes of laughter and tears replay

Echoes of words which soothe yet sting

So just tonight, I’ll allow myself to miss this

‘Cos tomorrow, I wouldn’t know this feeling
